I have used the UE Studio 3's for a while now and recently decided to treat myself to a set of Pro 5's. They are certainly better than I expected. There is no comparison with the Apple standard issue, but then a £140 set of earphones should sound better than a £10 set! One downside is thatr I can now hear the poorer quality when the tracks have been encoded at lower bit rates! But this just means re-ripping/downloading the CD's at fault. You do need to use the right sized earbuds and have them inserted into your ears correctly to get the best 'seal' and best sound out of them. Trial and error here. The result is great sounds!
 

There wasn't a star rating for PHENOMENAL so excellent will have to work. I have the Bose in ear headphones and I though they were great until I bought these things; they make they Bose sound like the earphones that came with the iPod. The treble is crystal clear, the bass is accurate, and the mid-range is pure heaven. The only negative was that the cable became loose but customer service sent me a replacement with no questions asked. I couldn't have done any better for my money!!
 

These might at first appear quite expensive, especially if your iPOD cost under £200 but after having dozens of cheap headphones, the difference in sound is amazing as soon as you plug them in. They come with a nifty little case so you don't lose them on the train. Light and comfortable with crystal clear sound. Money well spent to get the most from my iPOD.
