In general, sound quality provided by the MDR-EX90LP earphones is superior. All genres of music sound equally good, making these 'phones a great choice for a wide variety of listeners. The MDR-EXX90LPs offer great high-end detail and clarity, and we were rewarded with a rich and warm midrange.

A hybrid metal, plastic, and silicone rubber earphone design that delivers better clarity than Sony’s lower-priced MDR-EX series offerings, complete with a small leather case and plastic cord management insert. Design fits in both outer ear and ear canal, using silicone inserts to seal ear against outside noise.
hi love the site by the way just found ya all today!
these are great headphones i have had many i am a pc gamer and buy in ear buds and manly i always buy sony due to there bass and treble being so superiour over everything else (for the price) it takes a while to gt used to thast sony sound but it s good.
i wouldnt recomend these for pc users tho cos the lead is extremely small smaller than the others ive even mesured it against most sony headphones and this ones the smalleset it doesnt come with extention cord eiter but if your using an mp3 or ipod this ones got to be the greatest .

I have trawled thru heaps of user forums ,reviews and write ups on headfones to replace my broken ipod in ear set.
Pro's and con's exist on all models which is really down to personal taste and requirements. After looking at loads of sets I originally bought ultimate ears which are horrendous to get a sealed fit, not to mention the issue of actually putting them on. I returned them and purchased these sony mdr ex90 lp which are just the ticket. Some dont like how they go behind your neck but hey not all can be appeased. My advice is to burn the sony in and you will be provided with a new lease of life from your player. The bass and treble etc are really good. They are comfortable and easy to insert. I found the small earbuds just right for me. Like me you will find good, bad and ok'ish reviews for this product ,but this is the same with ALL models and makes as its down to the user. You wont go wrong with this model and the price is good too but dont be tempted to buy from sites such as e bay due to the high amount of fakes that exist.
Sony are back to where they belong !

I had bought these to replace a pair of Sony buds wich had broke and I am really impressed with the sound quality. The bass is rich and deep the treble is crisp and sharp with the mid-range is smooth and clear. So far I have not listened to anything with them that has not sounded good. I think they are worth every penny of the cost.
