The Dolby certified 5.1 channel headset is a true all-rounder. Perfectly suited for the use with a HiFi system and DVD player as well as PCs and the latest game consoles, such as XBox 360, PlayStation 2, Nintendo Wii and Playstation 3: Eight incorporated speakers, the Audio Control Box and the subwoofer with vibration create, in conjunction with the integrated Dolby Digital decoder, a dynamic crystal-clear sound.

First off they are comfortable and the 5.1 effect is reasonably effective - but don't believe that you will hear bullets wizzing past your ears as they are not that good. Think a more "virtual 5.1" effect.. The downsides - theres a horrible issue with decoder that gives you "pops" at quiet points. Most people suffer from it. Also the volume has a habit of resetting itself (to LOUD) when watching videos. Worst of all the bass is gutless and the rumble doesn't make up for that. The Xbox live voice will get drowned out as heeshot mentioned. Given the above, they are a tad too expensive and don't really do a good console or soundcard justice.

Bought these to play Online games with for the PC, Recommend them the sound is very good even though i have just a onboard soundcard. There are alot of settings you can use with the box that comes with it. 1 thing i would watch out for though is the detachable microphone the wire to the microphone came away on mine, sent them back though and got a replacement headset few days later, brand new pair as well. i now have selloptape on the wire just to maek sure it dont happen again! Including that minor fault i would give them 9/10
