The first pair did not work. Headphoneworld replaced them speedily with no hassle and the second pair work brilliantly. I bought them because of very poor hearing in one ear high frequency loss and use them whilst wearing a digital hearing aid. I turn the hearing aid gain to about 50 to avoid feedback whistle and with the left/right balance adjusted accordingly. Now I can hear every word on the television!!! The closed back is an advantage when listening while others are in the room and the volume on the TV is turned off. Plugging the jack in to a Samsung flat screen TV mutes the speakers so a converter from phono to jack socket is required.
