bought about a year ago, had about 1 month of usage all the rubber was lost, through no falt of my own i used them like my normal headphones but bits kept dropping off. i found the site and thought id write a review, the sound is nothing great(not even as good as JVC Gumy Earbuds which are my other phones and they cost £6.99) the twist fit system is painful even with 3 siizes of rubber rings. they are annoying to put on and take off all the time which happens if you use them properley(they make your ears sore) and the lead is too short! my tip...when buying in ear phones dont go for any "snazzy" design go for a good priced normal looking earphone because then theres no fuss or £35 hole in your pocket. |
all they do it look average

Had these about 6 months... the sound is excellent and the materials are very premium.... but these phones are ultimately a frustrating waste of money... If you're always going to return them to the box, fine - but if like me you use them in the real world and they live in your bag wraped round your i-pod then they need replacing after just a few months. All the rubber components around the phone and the twist fit system are very prone to coming detatched... so you loose them quickly. I now have bare phones with no rubber left which still sound great but are too uncomfortable to wear. The twist fit system is also likely to polarise. If you have the right shaped ears it works well... but it can be very uncomfortable if you listen while lying down - e.g. as you fall asleep... My ears have been cut open by these things... and somehow they never quite sit right... Overall I would steer clear of these phones... they do sound great but the twist-fit system, while clever, causes more problems than it is worth and usnless you wrap them up in cotton wool every time you've finished with them the poor build quality will leave you rummaging for little bits of missing black rubber... |
great sound ... poor build

Had these bought for me and i can say that i have never tried any better earphones of this type before. The range and overall sound quality is excellent.Using them on my sony mps gets a rich and clear response throughout the range.Bass is very good without any tampering with the settings.Would recommend them to anyone. |

I bought these admittedly on looks at first. I was buying my video ipod at the time and wanted some decent in ear headphones to go with it (as the ones apple give you are notoriously useless!) The fact that they were sennheiser as well just made it a no brainer, as I have bought them in the past and sennheiser always make quality solid headphones.
At first i was a little underwhelmed by the low end, as it did seem very light on the bass. The mids & high's were great though. I do prefer a warm sound however as I listen to a lot of hip-hop/funk/soul and some bass heavy indie (RATM, Audioslave etc) - and it seemed like it had no kick to it.
To those with the same problem (or new buyers) - if you are using an ipod, set the EQ to jazz (this gives it a bit of beef on the bass side and a nice bit of treble to crispin it up a notch) - also, and this is the most important bit - make sure they are pushed right in to your ear. It sounds stupid but when you put them in your ear, twist them properly so it grips under your ear, and the bud goes a bit deeper into your ear canal. It's only a difference of about a millimetre, but it makes all the difference honestly. I have just noticed this today and i now LOVE these headphones!
Also I put on the little sponge covers which sort of dampens the sound a bit and adds a bit more warmth to it. To be honest once they are in your ear properly, you dont need to mess with the EQ, it sounds fine as it is, but i reccommend switching it to jazz to livin it up a bit.
Top headphones - look amazing, and now they sound amazing. No regrets with this buy. Highly recommemded |
Amazing headphones worth every penny
